Description

Sheila Tallmon, Camp Nor'wester's new Director, is a founding member of Sound Circle, a 16-voice women's a cappella ensemble singing an eclectic mix of commissioned works, original arrangements, cover songs; with stunning and distinctive sound and presence.

"A culmination of 16 years of singing together, Finding the Flow represents Sound Circle at a beautiful time in their journey as an ensemble. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Sound Circle offers a healing, grounded, embodied, nature-aware quality of sound and repertoire selection and an existential ease in their singing. Craig Carnahan's setting of James Broughton's I am into your fire; Terry Schlenker's setting of David Whyte's Sweet Darkness, Linda Weber's original Silence of Our Dreams, and an eclectic group of cover songs and new arrangements. A studio recording that maintains a holistic presentation of the songs, with minimal editing and processing."
