In the style of Caribbean naive art and colors, the painting depicts the old colonial city of Havana, as viewed from the ocean, including the sea wall ("malecón") in the forefront and Havana's Cathedral in the background. The floating basket of tropical fruits is the artist's signature. Painting purchased from Sonya's daughter in Havana's art street festival, July 2001.
