Description
Any musculoskeletal discomfort a person feels as a result of cycling may be due to improper fit between rider and bicycle. Improper fit may also be affecting cycling efficiency and performance. This assessment involves evaluating any physical complaints reported by the rider, and examining the rider on their bicycle while pedaling to observe proper body alignment and joint angles. Simple adjustments can be made to the bicycle immediately, more complex needs such as part replacement will be written up for completion at a local shop. In some cases, exercises may be prescribed if it is determined that joint stiffness or muscle weakness are contributory.
