Carole and Don McLain have been making wine for over twelve years. Their group of home winemakers has been together for over twenty years. Many, including the McLains, have taken classes at UC Davis and from other colleges. Home wine making in Sonoma Valley has been a long tradition. These wines cannot be purchased in retail outlets. The successful bidder will have a special oppotunity to enjoy and share outstanding bottles of wine.

The Zinfandel is a gold medal winner in a professionally judged event and the grapes for this wine come from vines that are at least a hundred years old. The wines demonstrate the rich full bodied style of wine making associated with many of the wineries of the Sonoma Vally. They are fruit forward wines with carefully crafted style. As they are opened and breathe, their complex flavors develop and are a delight to the palette.
