Akido Kokikai of Rochester offers a 2-month child's membership valid for children ages 7-12 years. Aikido is great for children as it is the only non-aggressive martial art. There are no attacks in Aikido--no punches or kicks. Aikido shows children how to use an attacker's energy against the attacker. In the process, children develop greater relaxation, calmness, and positive thinking. They learn that gentleness works better than strength and to feel more comfortable and confident in everything they do. Aikido Kokikai is practiced in a safe, friendly environment.
