This Adjustable Puja table was made especially for the Maitripa College benefit auction.

The puja table is made of bamboo plywood and finished with a waterbased clear satin finish. The front edge has a stop to keep papers and books from sliding off. The tilt of 12" X 18" top is easily adjustable by loosening the two black handles. The table height can be changed from 5.75" to 6.5" to 7.25" inches by unscrewing the black handles completely and then repositioning the side pieces as desired.

Max also built the large shrine in the Jokhang temple at Maitripa College, incorporating many of his own design elements into the project.  He has also designed and constructed many other holy objects for Maitripa College and the International Offices of FPMT, including thrones for buddha statues and teachers as well as the mandala house currently located in the Jokhang temple.

I like discovering and uncovering fun forms. I find these forms by working with wood, clay, and metal. My final forms sometimes become functional furniture, other times they emerge as enigmatic sculpture.
