From playing football at Gothenburg, Nebraska to University of Wyoming and then into the pros.

All American football team in 1984-set an NCAA record for receiving yards per receptions by a tight end.

Played for St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals ( 1985-1989) and the Dallas Cowboys ( 1990-1996)

Was a five-time Pro Bowler, selected to play each year from 1991-1995.  He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
