Are you a racing fan, speed addict, or thrill seeker? Well, this is your chance to experience firsthand what it is like to drive a 305 horsepower, 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on a race track. As one of only seven super speedways in North America, Texas World Speedway will give you the chance of a lifetime - to ride, drive and experience what the pros do!
This is your chance to drive the historic Texas World Speedway for 3 laps and then strap in the passenger seat while your TWS Performance Driving School instructor takes you on a 5 lap thrill ride. The historic Texas World Speedway is one of only seven Super Speedways in the USA and is the only Super Speedway in the Southwest. The other US Super Speedways are Indianapolis, Daytona, Pocono, Talladega, California, and Michigan (TWS’s “sister track”).
With proper instruction and guidance, the TWS Ride & Drive Experience is your chance to experience speeds up to 120mph on the historic Texas World Speedway. Once strapped in, you’re free to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime thrill of driving an authentic 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on a legendary racetrack.
Your day at the speedway will begin with a short orientation meeting where your instructor will prepare you for your on-track experience. After that, you will get a chance to drive a 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on the historic Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas.
This adrenaline rushing, thrill of a lifetime lets you take hold and experience the capabilities of a 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang.
After your hot laps, a Texas World Speedway Performance Driving School instructor will take over the wheel while you strap in and prepare for the ride of your life!
The cars will be equipped with an HD video camera that will capture your experience in car as well as your hot laps on track. The DVD will be available for easy access to your unforgettable experience.
Expiration is September 2012. The driver will need to sign a rental agreement for the Rent-a-Racer and agree to cover any damages. Drivers must have a valid driver's license. If a driver is under 18, a parent must give permission and be present at the event.
Special Instructions
Please bid carefully because all net auction proceeds will fund MDA research, summer camp and other services provided by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA accepts your bid as a promise to pay.
No Refunds or Exchanges - No Exceptions
Important: All winning bidders will receive an e-mail notification of a winning bid. You will be contacted within 10 business days to determine how you will receive your item. Receipt of your item(s) will be handled by:
- · Select items will be available for pick up at the specified MDA Office
no later than October 31, 2011,
- · Some items will be available at donor locations as noted in the item
description,
- · If shipment of your item is required, shipping charges and insurance
will apply and will be billed to your account. All gift certificates (regardless of the number of certificates) will have a one time shipping
charge of $5.95 and all other packages will cost $14.95 unless the weight of the package exceeds 20 pounds, and:
- · MDA reserves the right to substitute a comparable item for items featured in the auction without notice.
