This is a half day mushing adventure with personalized, hands-on instruction and your own guide. Two adults or 400 lb weight limit per sled or two adults and a small child depending on weight. You will be whisked through the forest and can even drive the sled! Snacks and hot drink provided at the end of the trip. This trip takes approximately 3-4 hours and is good for those wanting a bigger adventure.

Gretchen and Gregg (owners of Durango Dog Ranch) are seasoned guides who have been training and running dogs for over 10 years. Join them for a dog powered exploration of the snowy peaks of Southwest Colorado. The enthusiasm of being whisked along the trail by Siberian and Alaskan huskies is a feeling you will not soon forget.

See the Colorado mountains as very few have ever seen them on picturesque mountain trails. Warmth and safety are of the utmost importance. Hot drinks, fresh snacks, and a camaraderie between human and canine are just some of the highlights. Enjoy a lifetime adventure.

Durango Dog Ranch offers high end dog sled adventures for all ages. Our season begins mid November until mid April, weather permitting.  There is a guide on every sled and all participants will drive the sled.
