Description
Music of the Baroque is the Midwest's largest professional chorus and orchestra specializing in 16th, 17th and 18th century music. Performances are held at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park and at First United Methodist Church in Evanston. The chorus and orchestra are comprised of approximately 60 professional musicians. Chorus members have active operatic careers and many perform regularly with leading American orchestras. Several members are also members of America's foremost musical ensembles, including the Chicago Symphony and the Lyric Opera Orchestra. With your two tickets to a 2012 performance, you can enjoy music written during the Baroque and early Classical eras -- music to your ears. And you know what they say. Don’t fix it, if it ain’t Baroque.
