As the name indicates, this is a links style course, situated atop what were once actively mined quarries. Remnants of the quarries will be revealed on the course in the form of granite outcroppings and some rather impressive water hazards--some of which run 40 to 400 feet deep!

Links style courses originated in Scotland, where the game of golf was invented. Links courses were typically built close to the ocean and are known to be sparse of tree and rich in wind. They also characteristically have challenging roughs.
