In this class students will learn about the basic raw materials that are used in everyday mineral make-up.  We will discuss how to make your own mineral make-up from scratch using iron oxides, colored micas, ultramarines and other materials.

We will discuss how to combine these minerals to create your own shades of makeup. We will discuss basic concepts as well as the ingredients used to create mineral makeup.
 
This class is a combination of demonstrations, and  plenty of hands-on play time to create your own mineral makeup creations including blush, foundation and eye shadow.
 
 Class Notes
This class is focused on how to make your own loose mineral makeup.  It does not discuss makeup application techniques.In this class you will learn how to make

Wear old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.  Some of the micas used in this class can stain your clothing.

Please bring your makeup brushes and makeup to class so that you can match the colors.
