Noted Cohasset artist Tina Watson has donated this wonderful rendering of the iconic Hull Yacht Club. This delightful work authentically captures the look and feel of the clubhouse building with its weathered shingles and wrap-around porch on a windy summer day. Sitting directly on Allerton Harbor, the Yacht Club is one of the oldest in the nation, having been founded in 1883.
This piece is sure to catch the eye of anyone who loves boating and those who have fond memories of good times spent on the harbor and in the seaside community of Hull.
About the Artist
Tina Watson is a plein air artist, painting in watercolor and acrylics. The artist graduated from Endicott College and attended Boston Museum School and Massachusetts College of Art.
Watson has exhibited at the Art Complex and the Ellison Center for the Arts in Duxbury, the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset and the North River Art Association in Marshfield.
Her paintings have been published in many publications. Recently her work has graced the cover of two brochures for the Marshfield Fair, as well as The Eclectic Gardener, a publication of the Garden Club of Cohasset.
Watson's work has been recognized with top awards from many prestigious art shows and organizations including: South Shore Arts Festival; The Cape Cod Art Association; Duxbury Winter Juried Show; North River Arts; Quincy Art Association; Norwell Science Center and the Scituate Winter Show.
