Erick Aybar, affectionately known as “Admiral Aybar” by fans, is an Angels all-star. Born in 1984 in Baní, Dominican Republic, he was signed to the Angles in 2006 and has been there ever since. He hit his first career major league home run on September 25, 2007.In 2009, he hit .312 (eighth in the AL) and posted the fourth-best OPS (.776) of all LA shortstops.
