This image, “Dice Game,” is part of Susan Felter’s digital montage series “The Ancestors,” created between 1987 and 1994. This print was made by the artist in 2011, using high quality pigment inks and archival paper.

Biographical Notes on the Artist
Susan grew up in the S.F. Bay Area, receiving a BA in Psychology and Art from UC Berkeley, and an MFA in Motion Pictures from UCLA in 1972. Her experimental film "Pescados Vivos" won various awards in film festivals during the 1970s.
In 1980 she received a Guggenheim Fellowship in Still Photography for her project “Rodeo Work.” After her next project, “Circus Work”, she became interested in new computer technologies, producing “The Ancestors” series in the early 1990s. Her photographs and computer art have been exhibited and published in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Her current project is a computer-aided photo collage series
called "Hunting and Gathering." Susan taught still photography as an Asst. and then Assoc. Prof of Art at Santa Clara University from 1983 until 2010.
