Orchard Marine began operations in 1978 as an experiment in growing papaya irrigated with brackish water on land later acquired by the National Park Service for the Kaloko-Honokohau Cultural Park.  Subsequent ventures were to include fishing, orchard crops in both tropical and temperate fruit (Mango and Plum), Koa lumber and reforestation, nursery products, and a complete garden center (Hawaiian Gardens) with all services including landscape design and installation. Today Hawaiian Gardens is concentrating on custom landscape services, and our tree farm is providing product for both in-house custom work and materials for the industry.
