Description

The name of this lithograph is "Fort Conanicut, RI". It depicts a fort on Conanicut Island (Jamestown), that was used by Patriots, the British, and then the French during the American Revolution. It occupied approximately the area where Fort Wetherill currently sits. Published by Samuel Walker and Company of Boston in the 1870s, it measures 10" x 7" and is in mint condition. Matted in museum board within a silver wood frame, overall dimensions are 14" x 20". It's a donation from the collection of Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI.
