“The Twelve Months” is the tenth plate in the “Russian Legends”, a collection of limited-edition porcelain plates created by Master Artist Nicolai Pavlovich Lopatin. Depicted here, the poor young maiden is sent out in to the cold by her stepmother to gather flowers on available in the Spring. She is met by the twelve months and saddened by her quest, Winter and Spring work together to help her fulfill her task. This plate is produced in layers of pigment and gold in an edition limited to a maximum of 195 firings.
