Description

"Suzdal, Pearl of the Golden Ring" is the seventh plate in the “Jewels of the Golden Ring”, a collection of limited-edition porcelain plates created by Master Artist Yuri Leonidovich Dubovikov of Fedoskino, the birthplace o Russian Lacquer miniatures.  This plate is produced in layers of pigment and gold in an edition limited to a maximum of 195 firings.

Depicted here a sumptuously picturesque domescape of Suzdal delighting the eye with bell towers, onion domes, and a palette of fanciful colors nestled amidst the luxuriant greenery of hundreds of trees. Suzdal, approximately 216 kilometers from Moscow, was founded in 1024, making it one of the oldest cities in northeast Russia.
