2004 TUA RITA Toscana Giusto di Notri, 94 rating from Wine Spectator
Stunning nose of rose petal, berries, sandalwood and licorice. Full-bodied, with ripe, rich tannins and a long, long finish. All there, and very exciting. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best after 2007.
2007 VITICCIO Chianti Classico Riserva, 93 rating from Wine Spectator, Ranked #40 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines: 2010
Subtle currant, cedar and floral aromas follow through to a dense, full-bodied palate of ripe fruits and silky tannins, with a long finish. A little age will soften this just slightly. Really serious. Best after 2010.
2004 VALDICAVA Brunello di Montalcino, 95 rating from Wine Spectator
Displays complex aromas of blackberry and cherry, with a hint of licorice. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a delicious finish of wonderful yet subtle fruit. Well-integrated and beautiful. Everything is in the right place. Best after 2011.
2005 CASTELLO DI QUERCETO Chianti Classico Riserva, 90 rating from Wine Spectator
Tight and superclean, delivering crushed blackberry, prune, oak and slate on the nose and palate. Medium- to full-bodied, with firm, mineral-coated tannins and a long, sturdy finish. Layered. Wait for this one. Best from 2009 through 2012.
2007 ANTINORI Toscana Tignanello, 92 rating from Wine Spectator
Displays sweet plum and berry aromas and flavors, with hints of toasty oak and cappuccino. Full-bodied, yet reserved and fine. Turns chewy and juicy. Best after 2012.
2005 VITANZA Brunello di Montalcino Tradizione, 92 rating from Wine Spectator
Porcini, dark fruits and spices on the nose. Full-bodied, with ripe, juicy tannins and lots of opulent fruit that turns to dried fruitcake, chocolate and almond. Best after 2011.
