Cafe Oro is Fair Traded, Shade Grown and Certified Organic. The coffee is grown on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua and is imported by the Bainbridge Ometepe Sister Islands Association from Ometepe to its sister island, Bainbridge Island, WA. The coffee is roasted weekly on Bainbridge by Pegasus Coffee, one of the Pacific Northwest's finest roasters, and packed and shipped by volunteers. All of the association's income from the coffee has been returned to Ometepe.
