Description

A full day, walk/wade, guided fly fishing trip on one Minnesota's beautiful southeastern rivers (or western WI if you prefer).  We will be stalking the wary Salmo trutta (brown trout) and/or Salvelinus fontinalis (brook trout).  Ability levels from novice to intermediate welcome.  All equipment provided.

Last year's outing on the Kinnicinic River in western WI was a great success.  We went mid-week in mid-June and had the river to ourselves, except for a few kayakers.  We did some dry land casting instruction first, then hit the river and landed six average sized browns (8"-12") over the next several hours.

I can teach whatever the "client" would like to learn: dry fly casting, line management (mending), long line nymphing, czech (short line) nymphing, reading the water, bug identification, etc. Or, if you’re not interested in that technical stuff, we can just fish.

I can tailor the information and difficulty of the outing to suit skill levels from novice to intermediate.
