The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art. A blend of classical and modern elements designed by renowned architect Gae Aulenti (designer of Paris's Musee d'Orsay), the museum's new home at the San Francisco Civic Center opened in 2003 and is a premiere cultural destination.
