Description

This scarf was created using silk/rayon velvet, and is extremely soft and cuddly because it is double-sided, so it feels as good as it
looks.  It was made using the ancient Japanese technique of Arashi
Shibori
, whereby fabric is pushed tightly onto a pole and dyed, creating the unique "tiger stripe" effect.  This scarf went through
successive dye baths in order to create the subtle depth of color and pattern. The fabric was sewed into the very fashionable "infinity" shape, which can be tossed on as a scarf, or doubled to create a cozy halo of velvet around your neck for extra warmth; it looks fabulous with a coat when worn thisway.  It may be hand-washed in warm water using mild detergent, hand-shaped and line-dried, or it may be dry cleaned.  Please do not use harsh detergents or spot stain removers, and do not iron.
