Joe Morgan is widely considered among the greatest second basemen in the history of baseball. After 9 productive seasons for the Astros Morgan was traded to the Cincinnati Reds in 1971. It was in Cincinnati that his career flourished. He was a key member of the famous Big Red Machine that won back-to-back titles in 1975 and 1976 winning NL MVP honors both seasons. A 10-time All-Star Morgan won 5 Gold Glove Awards and had his 8 retired by the Reds.
