You and a friend will spend 2-3 hours birding either at Mason Farm Biological Reserve or at Falls Lake State Recreation Area with UNC ecologist Allen Hurlbert.

You will learn about bird identification and the basic ecology of common North Carolina birds. Beginners welcome. It's preferred that you bring your own binoculars, though one pair can be made available by your guide.
