Description

'Designed and created by Pam Biagi' you are bidding on a Dichroic pendant that is loaded with magenta, gold, blue, emerald and bronze, on a milky-looking backing. Pendant 1"L x .75"w; 20" narrow black leather neck band.

These pieces are all made with Dichroic Glass. Here is a brief explanation of just what that is:

Dichroic glass is created by vaporizing various metallic oxides in a vacuum chamber, using a high-voltage electron beam, and allowing the molecules to be deposited onto the surface of a blank sheet of usually clear or black glass. To create jewelry, small pieces of different colors of dichroic glass are cut, placed on a piece of glass, and topped with a piece of glass; fired in a kiln; ground to a particular shape, and fired in a kiln again.

The end product is a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade jewelry that is full of light and color – changing, depending on the angle at which it is viewed.
