How Does Restaurant.com work?

Restaurant.com offers savings certificates that may be used at specific restaurants across the country. This may vary by geographical location, but it is mostly individually owned restaurants, not franchises. Most restaurants are smaller, less established businesses. That makes sense as those types of restaurants would be the most likely to feel the need to draw in more business through this type of program.

When you redeem the gift card at Restaurant.com, you have to pay attention to the rules. The certificate usually cannot be combined with any other specials. Some restaurants require you to spend at least double the certificate’s value. For instance, with a $50 certificate you might have to spend at least $100 in order to use the certificate. And sometimes alcohol is not allowed to be included in the total. Also, the certificate may only be valid certain days of the week or not valid on holidays. Other rules can include the certificate being valid for lunch only, or the certificate being valid for dine-in only (no take-out orders).

Basically, you redeem your gift card for certificates to restaurants and online places that Restaurant.com has on their list.  That certificate then acts like a half-off coupon or more at that place, when you spend the required amount.

In most states, the certificates expire within a year.

TO REDEEM YOUR GIFT CARD FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

1. Go to http://www.restaurant.com/ and click on “redeem”.


2. Enter your gift card code and that value will be added to your cart.


3. Use the site search engine to find great restaurants near you or choose from exciting products and services through participating online retailers.


4. Add the certificate(s) to your cart and check out.


5. Print the certificate from your computer and redeem that certificate at the restaurant or the online retailer’s website.


6. If you do not use your entire balance the remainder will remain for you to use another time.
