Description

1 case (12 bottles) of 2009 Napa Valley Syrah

This 2009 Napa Valley Syrah has outstanding concentration of blueberry, mulberry, and a hint of cocoa powder. Full-bodied and densely concentrated with the oak component well-concealed by the wine's extravagant richness, this gorgeous wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for 10 years.

Nestled in the hills southwest of Napa is little known Lovall Valley, where the grapes for this Syrah were grown. While it lies within the Napa Valley AVA, Lovall Valley is as secluded and can only be reached through Sonoma. It’s cool climate and well-drained soils are proving to be a superior home for growing Syrah.

Cattywampus is the love child of a group of local Sonomans who love wine so much, they decided to pool their efforts (and their money) and make their own.  The first year they made wine, they created a Chardonnay so delicious they decided to make more. So they moved on to Pinot Noir, and then Syrah and Cattywampus was born.
