Description
Your $50 contribution brings the Junior Achievement classroom experience to TWO students right here in central Illinois. That means at least five sessions, right in class, featuring a member of our community mentoring them with JA’s nationally acclaimed financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship materials.
Junior Achievement has the right programs in place, ready to go—but needs resources to continue their growth. Working closely with the business and education communities, JA delivers programs that teach K-12 students age-appropriate, hands-on lessons about how to be financially literate. Your support of these educational lifelines will help young people in the United States – and around the world – preserve the future of the global economy.
Many Americans have little or no formal education in economics or personal finance and have a difficult time understanding, much less explaining, what is going on in our government and in our financial markets. As our society’s demands grow and the global marketplace expands we must do a better job of educating our kids about effective money management. It’s these children who will be managing their own personal finances and running our businesses, financial institutions and government in the future.
