City Tavern “A Triumph of Tradition” (Philadelphia)

Enjoy a $200 gift card towards dining. The Chef and Proprietor, Walter Staib, is from the Black Forest region of Germany and offers award winning cuisine. The menu is a mixture of both contemporary and 1800 century meals, including the soup that George Washington fed his soldiers after crossing the Delaware River in 1776.  This is also the tavern where Washington first met Lafayette, where Franklin first met John and Sam Adams, and where Paul Revere arrived to announce the British Embargo of the city of Boston.
