About the artist: Once upon a time I graduated from Stanford with a degree in American Studies and worked for a number of years in Journalism and Public Relations.

One day when I was home with my three babies I decided to take a class in Graphic Design. There I found out that the most interesting part of what was being designed was the illustration. My next class was an illustration class and I kept going and going until I had a whole brand new degree in Illustration.

Now I primarily work as a freelance illustrator, illustrating children's books and working on visual development for production houses who produce film, advertising or animation. Funny and colorful are my natural settings and  I love to have a story to illustrate. My favorite thing is when kids come to my house and say "Ooh! I want to go there!" That is the highest compliment for me.
