The DIA is open Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m - 10 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

  • Strings, Hands, Shadows: A Modern Puppet History soft-cover book published by the DIA that examines the forces that have shaped today' puppet theatre. Author John Bell uses examples from eight hundred puppets and more than seven hundred related backdrops and props from the DIA's Paul McPharlin Collection of Puppets and Theatre arts.

  • Mini Jigsaw Puzzle (54 pieces, 5x7 inches) - of Auguste Rodin's sculptue, The Thinker.

Special Instructions

The Family Plus Membership Gift Card must be activated at the Member Services Desk in the Farnsworth Lobby of the Museum.


Michigan K.I.D.S. pays all taxes on taxable items. And we will ship certificates or gift cards by certified mail at our cost.


Shipping charges of $12.00 will only be added for larger items that must be boxed for shipment, but we will combine items purchased by the same bidder into one shipment.


No shipping charges will be assessed if bidder opts to pick up the item(s) when he/she responds to the winning bid email.


Please be sure to supply a street address since we cannot ship to PO boxes. Also, if you've participated in past Bids for Kids auctions, please make sure your billing and shipping address information is up-to-date.
