Description

The Wheeling Pottery Company began in West Virginia in 1879, and created semiporcelain, artware, and white ware until 1923.  Their high quality products are quite beautiful and much sought after.

This antique serving platter and 6 matching plates is a rare find indeed.  The artwork and detail of the fish are quite unique, and make this not only a very special set to own, but a true conversation piece as well.

They belonged to the donor's grandmother, and have fond memories of family around her table.  The platter measures 14.25" and the plates 8.5".

They are in wonderful condition for being as old as they are.  The donor informed us there are a few very small chips that were at one time repaired, but I honestly did not notice them as the plates were being photographed so they must be very small.
