Description
Anatole Krasnyansky was born in 1930 in Kiev, Ukraine. He became a prominent architect and watercolorist, and left for the United States in 1975. He now resides in California.
His traditional citiscapes were much admired in Europe, and now he is recognized world wide. Through experimentation, he developed his own artistic method to elevate the watercolor medium to the expressive possibilities usually associated with oil paintings alone.
This lively citiscape has vibrant colors that dance across the paper. It is signed in ink by the Artist, and is numbered 171 of 350. The back also indicates the Registration number and Lot number.
The framed work measures 21" x 23", and is beautifully framed. It is on wove paper.
A serigraph, or serilithograph, is a silk screening process in which each color is silkscreened onto the paper separately. There can be as many as 100 layerings before a painting is complete.
This beautiful painting will make a wonderful addition to any fine art collection.
