The Celebration continues! The Symphony's outstanding Jacobs Masterworks Season 2011-2012 Season lineup consists of 13 separate classical music programs. Among the composers represented this season are: OttorinoRespighi (Roman Festivals), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ("Turkish" Piano Concert, Symphony No. 35: Haffner), George Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue), Gustav Mahler (Symphony No. 9), Gabriel Fauré (Requiem), AntonBruckner (Symphony No. 4), Johannes Brahms (Symphony No. 3), Piotr Tchaikovsky (Pathétique Symphony), Sergei Rachmaninoff (Piano Concerto No. 2) and Ludwig Van Beethoven (Symphony Nos. 7 and 9).
A fine array of guest artists will be visiting Copley Symphony Hall during this "Centennial + 1" Season, including Pinchas Zukerman, Jon Kimura Parker, Augustin Hadelich, Horacio Gutiérrez, Heidi Grant Murphy, Louis Lortie, Robert McDuffie, Stephen Hough and Itzhak Perlman. Guest conductors this season include Long Yu and Charles Dutoit.

Proceeds raised from the sale of this item will go to support Resounding Joy in their efforts to promote emotional, social, physical, and spiritual well-being through music. Credentialed music therapists train volunteers (JoyGivers) to use supportive music within the community. Resounding Joy reaches a myriad of populations- our reach extends from premature infants in the hospital to homebound seniors. Through active music making, songwriting, singing, and relaxation we aim to ease pain and suffering, reduce stress, and encourage community involvement. Levels of service range from recreational music activities to professional music therapy services.
