Explore the wonders of a tidepool and its inhabitants (or some other special place on MDI) with naturalist Heidi Welch. Inspire barnacles to show off their legs, discover who is hiding under the seaweed ... and why, find out how urchins and whelks eat without forks and knives ... Or if you prefer a different focus, Heidi is equally at home on MDI's mountain ridges and in our forests. 2-3 hours.
Heidi's journey as a naturalist includes working in Acadia, Yosemite and Olympic national parks, and teaching at the Audubon Ecology Camp in Maine and several other environmental education programs.
Special Instructions
This is a private trip limited to 6-8 people.
Date and MDI location to be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Participants to provide own transportation to chosen location.
NOTE: If you bid $400, you can have Heidi all to yourselves for an 8-hour day! ... and you'll be giving an ever bigger gift of camp to kids.
