This is an assessment for a child from newborn to eighteen years old. For the younger child, it will include a gross motor developmental assessment to determine whether or not your child is on target with their gross motor skills. For older children, it will involve a musculoskeletal screen. The assessment will include obtaining a history, completing a systems screen (including taking vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and determining body mass index; range of motion, strength), and determining level of gross motor function.
