The focal bead on these earrings is a delightful square, "puffy pillow", glass bead.  Just like real opals, it reflects different colors such as green, blue and whatever color it is near (as you can see in the photos). Below the opal glass bead is a sterling spacer bead and Japanese glass with "pearlite", the best of glass pearls.  The ear wire hook is sterling silver (made in Italy).   The length is just a touch over 1 inch and the width is just a pinch over 1/2 inch!  These are sure to be a beautiful neutral earring for your collection.  The last photo shows the earrings next to the matching opal glass necklace that is being auctioned separately.
