Minneapolis native Chris Ayers was working as a Hollywood artist when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005. During his year-long period of treatment and recovery, he started drawing an animal each day as a form of personal healing. His books, The Daily Zoo and The Daily Zoo 2, are perfect for a doctor’s office, or as a gift for someone you know who is living with cancer.  The books also come with 12 humorous note cards (giraffe, penguine, goldfish, dragon) created from his drawings.
