Description
Six hours of soccer skills training for up to 8 intermediate-to-advanced players by HRS Asst. Athletics Director John Miottel. The session(s) are designed for players aged 10-18 years and will focus on balance, symmetry, proper body alignment and form. Participants will take away an arsenal of exercises they can do on their own, in any location, to keep their skills and speed up to snuff. Coach Miottel will also address what it means to be a student athlete, goal setting, mental discipline, and sportsmanship. The training is grounded in his 25 years of coaching youth soccer and a wealth of knowledge gleaned from his work with many top level professional and Olympic athletes, including Tony Hawk, Edwin Moses, Michael Johnson, John McEnroe, Nadia Comaneci, and Tommie Smith. Training may be done as a series of three 2-hour sessions, including warm-up, warm down, and classroom-style discussion or completed in a single 6-hour session.
Special Instructions
Maximum of 8 players, intermediate-to-advanced level. Training sessions should be completed by 2/11/2013.
