There are certain truths in golf.  One of those is that Elizabeth Manor is a championship golf course.  The course is a true traditional Dick Wilson design has survived the test of time for almost 60 years.  Since 1957, the club has hosted The Eastern Amateur Championship.  Although some of the greatest amateurs in the country have tried to master the challenge of Elizabeth Manor, most have failed. 
           
The Dick Wilson designed Championship golf course, par 70, 6,462 yards features A-4 bent grass greens. The course is set adjacent to the beautiful Elizabeth River and utilizes the natural contours of the land. The Board of Directors has made a commitment to provide the very best facility possible and this was demonstrated in 1998 with the completed course renovations under the guidance of noted course architect Lester George. The greens were built to strict USGA specifications so that they will perform and last for decades. The Bermuda fairways are at their best and the greens never falter even in the heat of summer. 
            
The course is open seven days a week and is equipped with two putting and chipping greens and a full modern driving range located in Portsmouth, VA. Elizabeth Manor is a fair and challenging course providing great competition and enjoyment for all.
