Musical Theatre and Hip Hop - Summer Camp starts Monday June 25th providing opportunities for Students ages 4-17 to develop talents lurking beneath the surface in Dance, Voice and Musical Theater and Hip Hop. 

While at camp, students are encouraged to explore their natural talents, to develop a love for theater and the arts. They gain confidence by meeting and making new friends while performing weekly in front of an audience each Friday. Artistic Director Neisha Folkes says, “Some of these children have never performed in front of anyone. But, in one week’s time you can see major transformations, not only in their abilities, but they gain a new confidence that many parents had never seen before in their children. This confidence is something that all children need to take them through the challenges of life. They come away feeling that, yes, they can accomplish something big.” 


About
Neisha has an impressive resume, with a BFA degree from Juilliard, to performing on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, Radio City, and as a principal Dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Neisha also appeared in such films as “Glitter” (with Mariah Carey), which she also choreographed, as well as the “Gap Swing” commercial. Her directing and Choreography has earned her a noted Choreography nomination. You can still catch Neisha in theaters in “Meet the Fockers” as the dance partner to Dustin Hoffman. Students will not only train with Neisha, but with other renowned Hip Hop Choreographers and vocal coaches including Gina Eckstine, a celebrity Vocal Coach and Recording Artist with her recently released CD. Gina trained singers to audition for American Idol, Stage, and the recording Studio.
