Seashore Trolley Museum
195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport

Seashore Trolley Museum is 70 years old this year.  The Museum has an encompassing collection of over 250 streetcars and mass transit vehicles from many U.S. cities plus a few from 11 other countries.  The Museum boosts of having the “National Collection of American Streetcars”.  In addition, there are collections of electric Interurban streetcars, Rapid Transit cars and train sets (car pairs), electric “Trackless” busses, as well as gas and diesel busses.  The Collections span more than a century and a half of mass transit development. The Museum provides the opportunity to experience a 3 mile ride on one or more electric streetcars whose ages are between 60 and 109.   32 restored streetcars are on display in three car houses and 10 busses are parked for display nearby.   As you walk around the Museum grounds you can spot at least three Rapid Transit train sets.  In the Exhibit Hall there are displays of photographs taken when everyone rode streetcars to stores, to work, to school, or to parks for recreation.  In the Town House Restoration Shop you can “Watch the Magic Happen” as Museum volunteers return derelicts to pristine historic objects.
Come visit Seashore Trolley Museum to experience and enjoy transit history.
