The GoofBoard is designed for surfers as way to bring home the surf riding experience and return to waves the better for it.  Balance boards have been around since the 1960s, and most use a rocking motion with the pipe perpendicular to the length of the board. The GoofBoard is unique by using a longer pipe parallel to the length of the board – a motion truer to the surfing experience.  It's all about riding rail-to-rail!  The basic motion of the GoofBoard simulates trimming down the face of a small wave. Given some time, riding the GoofBoard will advance your surfing skills and bring greater style fluidity with better strength, balance, and control. 

Robert "Wingnut" Weaver is an American surfer. He has appeared in several of Bruce Brown's surf films, starring in three of them alongside Pat O'connell. In 1991, Weaver graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in economics and marketing.
