A Pair of Tickets to the SFJAZZ Collective, Music of Stevie Wonder

Item Number: 122
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Some of today’s most exciting young jazz virtuosos explore the compositions of the incomparable Stevie Wonder, whose classic pop albums in the ‘70s fused Detroit soul with R&B, jazz, and reggae. Each year, the accomplished stars of SFJAZZ Collective park their own bands to participate in a collective that looks back and re-arranges famous compositions from past jazz masters and adds original compositions that have been informed by this rich history. With inspired new arrangements of Wonder’s timeless hits Superstition, My Cherie Amour, Sir Duke, Visions, Blame it on the Sun, and Do I Do, the SFJAZZ Collective shows why it’s one of the most impressive groups on the American and international jazz scenes.
