Description
This trilogy of dessert wines is truly an after meal treat. The collection includes:
- Alvear Solera 1927 from Spain
- 1990 Sauternes by Chateau Suduiraut from France
- RL Buller and Son Fine Tawny Port from Victoria, Australia
The Spanish dessert wine, Alvear, PedroXimenez Solera 500ml, is rated a 96 by Robert Parker. It boasts a dark amber color as well as creme brulee, nuts, marmalade and maple syrup on the nose. It was designed to be consumed after dinner as a solo item.
