Hope Solo is widely acknowledged to be the best goalkeeper in Women's soccer.

She is currently the starting keeper for magicJack, a Women's Professional Soccer team based in Boca Raton, FL.

She also starts in goal for the US Women's National Team, where she once went 1,054 game minutes without allowing a goal. She appeared with the USWNT in the 2007 and 2011 Womens World Cups and at the 2008 Olympics.

In the 2011 World Cup she won the "Golden Glove" award for best goalkeeper, and the "Bronze Ball" award for her overall performance.

She is the University of Washington's all-time leader in shutouts, saves, and goals-against average (GAA), and was a four-time All-Pac-10 selection and a three-time NCAA All-American.
