This beautiful plein air oil painting is by South Jersey artist Michael Cagno.  Michael's impressionistic style expresses his personal experiences with nature.  Painted in the Greenwich area of southern New Jersey, Michael says, "The dead trees seemed like monuments for what was once a vibrant waterway, yet the water still flowed and new sprouts were rising.  To me, it's about the circle of life."
