Sweat lodge for up to 12 at Dragonfly Sanctuary with Mary Trail
A sweat lodge's purpose is: to purify, to pray, and to heal. I am a trained Medicine Person and Sundancer of 20 years, so I can attest to the fact that this is a safe environment and we take every precaution to ensure your experience of these ways in a manner that can be of calm and safety.
The Sweat Lodge or Inipi, is the replica of a mother's womb, so when you enter in you should feel safe like inside a nurturing shelter. Saying your prayers and then when you exit, one should have a feeling of being reborn, clean, fresh and loved.
A person brings to the lodge: towels and a change of clothes for afterward, usually with a meal. Men wear swim trunks or basketball shorts. Women wear long t-shirt dresses or skirts, or a mumu.

Dragonfly Sanctuary is located just 45-minutes south of DFW, near Ennis.
